Due to a very poor weather forecast for Wednesday 27th December this walk has been postponed until Saturday 30th December. The weather for Saturday looks considerably better. So, same starting time and place, but on Saturday 30th instead of Wednesday 27th.

Corbridge c.p which is just on the South side of the Bridge. Leader Julie Carolan. Yuletide themed walk, mulled wine, mince pies, mistletoe, Christmas jumpers, Christmas hats, etc . For those of us looking for a post Christmas & Boxing Day walk to burn off a few excess calories & clear our heads, this looks perfect
Circular walk heading South out of Corbridge, then through Dipton Woods, Ordley, Dipton Mill, Dukeshouse Wood, Dilston.

Bring a torch just in case. By doing this walk you are agreeing to abide by the rules of Northumbria LDWA with regards to a) Dogs are welcome on leads, but owners must have up to date public liability insurance in place b) Those taking photographs must ensure that all people in photographs have given explicit consent for the taking & distribution of the photograph

Walk Report
Significant snowfall overnight before the walk. The walk was shortened from the original 18 miles down to 16 miles, largely to avoid the BOAT over Blanchland Moor which is horrifically disfigured due to vehicle activity along the section as it approaches Slaley Forest itself. With the addition of significant snow this BOAT would have been very difficult going indeed. (Paul Nellist)Maps:
