Route
Circular walk from Byrness. The walk will start from the small c,p at the northern end of Byrness Village (Otterburn Green), just off the A68 on the left as you come north, GR NT 763028. The nearest post code is NE19 1TS, this is not exact, but will get you in the right area. In terms of parking there is also a small layby on the A68 on the right & a larger layby on the left heading north towards Catcleugh Reservoir. Walk leader will be Annette Pantall

On the route of this walk is Spithope Bothy, which is about 2 miles from Byrness. For the adventurous there's also the option of staying at Spithope Bothy if some people want to walk on the Sunday

General Notes
This walk is best done in summer months as it involves crossing a stream and walking across several kms of blanket bog - not recommended for walkers with ankle /knee issues.
