Thornthwaite on the minor road which runs parallel to the A66. Parking by the lane to Hallgarth Farm in lay by. Thornthwaite is a mile off the A66 just north of Braithwaite

Classic Lake District circuit taking in Hobcarton End, Grisedale Pike, Hobcarton Crag, Crag Hill, Sail, Scar Crags and Causey Pike

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
