2015 05 02 Around Pendle

11 people started at 8.30, in good weather, heading South West along the valley, past Noggarts and Higher Spen, to Churn Reservoir for our first stop.  We then started the climb up past Deerstones on to the main track for Pendle Hill, along Ogden Clough to the Trig Point. By this time we had strong winds and heavy drizzle.  Carried on down to Downham for lunch.

Fully refreshed we headed across the fields to Twiston, then on to Clough Head, followed by our last climb up to Firber House. After a short break on for our last 3 miles back to Barrowford arriving back at 15.45.,having done 20miles and 3000ft accent.  The walking underfoot was very good for Pendle, and every body seemed happy with the pace.
