5 takers turned up for my walk from Totley Hall today.

We did what was promised, some woods, some edges,some moors, 1 trig point. We saw  2 monuments, 3 “ships” and a strange christmas tree. I asked for vigilance to spot the large herd of deer on Big Moor but saw only a solitary beast which was too distant to get a good photo. Not sure everyone was convinced about that.

The first stop at Longshaw was too early for the cafe to be open so ,sadly, no scones for me.

Apart from that it was a good day and we managed to finish before the rain.
