The 34th Durham Dales Challenge will be held on Saturday 20th June 2026

As usual there will be a choice of routes, 30 miles and 14 miles. There is a time limit; 12.5 hours for the 30 mile route, in addition there is a cut-off time of 3pm by which entrants must have left the Middleton-on-Tees checkpoint. 9 hours for the 14 mile route.

Once again, the HQ will  be at The Masonic Hall, Wolsingham DL13 3AN (GR NZ073373).

The exact routes will be published on this website closer to the event itself. 

We regret no dogs allowed due to nesting birds on the moors..

Online entries only. Closing date is Saturday 13th June 2026. No entries will be taken after this date or on the day of the event. Entry limited to 300. 

Parking will be advised ahead of the event. .

Food and drink will be provided on route and there will be a meal at the finish ( meat-eating and vegan options ). Tea and toast will be available before the start. All finishers will get a certificate on completion, and finishing times will be posted online.

Entry fees are £16 for LDWA members, £21.50 for non-LDWA members. A significant donation will be made to Teesdale & Weardale Search & Rescue Team.
