We started Maude's Meander in cloud but after a break in beautiful Knill and a brief climb from Nash, we had bright sunshine for the rest of our day. Titley was a good place for a brief stop as its Church offers a toilet and tea making facilities. After a stretch of minor road through Eywood we had lunch on a hillside overlooking Herefordshire farmland across to the Black Mountains. A wooded stretch of the Mortimer Trail led us onto Offa's Dyke Path and over Rushock Hill and Herrock Hill where we had long reaching views back into Powys. We were soon off the hill and walking across flat farmland to return to our start point. Our number was small but the enjoyment was immense.
