Over to you, Over to me

On Saturday 27th June we found ourselves in Overton-on-Dee, where the first stop was St. Mary's Church to visit the famous 21 yew trees, one of the "Seven Wonders of Wales".  We set out on a clockwise circuit, sometimes following the River Dee in fantastic weather.  We were joined by friends from the Merseystride Group and Marches Group.  After some fairly easy walking we couldn't resist a stop at the Cross Foxes pub for well deserved refreshments.  A good day was had by everyone and one added bonus was the Village Fete that was taking place on the same day.  Many thanks to Pam Lloyd for taking the photographs.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
