Pistyll Rhaeadr and Cadair Berwyn

Mid Wales social event 22nd August, A Fall and a Climb, Pistyll Rhaeadr and Cadair Berwyn.

It's not always about the size of the group, long miles, or the meters climbed. Today we had time to look up and enjoy the scenery, take photos and have a lot of fun getting to know each other. This is a beautiful mountain walk, taking in Pistyll Rhaeadr along the way. With all the hard climbing done within the first half we were then able to enjoy spectacular views from the ridge. Yvonne and myself were joined by Cyril from Merseystride and Pam and Brenda from The Marches. It was the perfect blend of friendship.

The glorious weather saw us making the most of the final days of summer.

The reward of running an event is when you get positive feedback and I'm happy to say our new friends had a wonderful day with the Mid wales group

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
