Wye By Bus

Yvonne Gulley led this social walk which took place on Saturday 1st April. We caught the X47 bus just south of Neuadd-ddu and travelled to Pont Rhydgaled to start the walk. We followed the River Wye to Llangurig before turning south, passing Nant yr Hendy Hill,Esgair y Graig and Esgair Dernol. We then descended towards Trafel-gwyn and then followed the lane to Dernol. We used a bouncy suspension footbridge to cross the River Wye then followed a footpath back to the cars.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
