On Saturday 17th June, Ian Powell led a 15mile walk that started from Knighton railway station. We followed footpaths and lanes to Hendregenny and then around Rhos Hill to Rhos y meirch. From there we followed a track along Llan-wen Hill to The Spaceguard Centre Observatory. This is a working Observatory and the main source of information about near Earth objects in the UK. From there we made our way to Stanage Park taking in some fantastic views. Milebrook and Stowe were ticked off before following a path through Kinsley Wood and returning to Knighton.
