East Yorkshire LDWA Challenge Walks
FUTURE EVENTSFollowing changes to the Group Management Committee, we have decided to provide one challenge event in the next year – a "Woldsman 30" on Saturday 3 April 2027. We appreciate that this will cause disappointment, as all the East Yorkshire challenge events have been well-supported and massively enjoyed in previous years. However, we hope that you will understand our need for short-term pragmatism, while we rebuild our capacity to run events, and continue to support us as we find our feet. Filey Flyer and Scarborough Rock will be "retired" for the foreseeable future, probably to become anytime challenges. If the initial Woldsman 30 is a success, then we would hope to restore Rudolph’s Romp in December 2027 and, possibly, resurrect the Woldsman 50 from April 2028 – but that is speculative, we can’t run before we can walk. Entries to the Woldsman 30 will open on 13 June 2026 via Si Entries at Woldsman 30. East Yorkshire’s events have only been as good as our volunteers, who freely give up their time every year to make them possible.
