I have today received advice from the NEC that a Register is still required by our insurers for every social walk, and the NEC still requires a COVID Risk Assessment for every social walk of more than 6 people. The maximum number of walkers remains 30 but some walk leaders are choosing to keep the number lower.
The situation will be reviewed again after 21st June.
Thanks to our willing volunteers we have a good programme planned over the next couple of months and I'm sure we can extend this right through the summer. If you planned to lead a walk that had to be cancelled due to COVID, why not put it back on the programme now?
It's good to see so many of you back out walking and particularly pleasing to see some of our newer members too. I hope to meet more of you over the coming weeks,
