" I intend to finish by 5pm, and wherever possible try to use hard surfaces - as the weather has been so poor, the route may be adjusted on the day, but is likely to be very wet in places. I hope we may get a pub stop, but walkers need to bring a packed lunch - and if it brightens up in the afternoon, ice cream should be possible!"
