If there is sufficient interest I plan organise a Dorset LDWA trip to Knepp Wildland in West Sussex on Wed 3rd June. The Knepp Estate has for 19 years been a pioneering rewilding project covering 3500 acres and has seen extraordinary increases in wildlife: https://knepp.co.uk/home
I intend to set out early, spend the day strolling around some of the 9miles of public rights of way on the estate, taking time to stop and watch and listen. Nightingales, Turtle Doves and Purple Emperor butterflies are possible species. We will stop for a meal on the way home and arrive back late.
Please note this is not a typical LDWA walk, and due to the nature of the trip this event would be NO DOGS. I do not plan to book an organised safari. There is an option of hiring a minibus if people want to share transport from Dorset.
If you are interested in coming please email me using the address below and I will work out further details.
