Dorset Doddle Main Event (Sunday 19th Aug 2018)

If you are able to help marshal our Dorset Doddle event, your help would be appreciated. If you can help (including those  walking the marshals' event - see below) please could you let me have your choice of job. Preference to tasks will be on a first reply first served basis.

Those already marshalling are:

  • Loading Coaches at Swanage: Ian & Anne Brown (2 extra required)
  • Registration on Weymouth sea front: Bill Peach, Chris & Heather Pitt, Phil & Julie Bardswell.
  • Osmington Clipper-point: Rosemary Britton (1 extra required)
  • Lulworth Village Hall CP: Bill Peach, Martin Callow, Pat Clifton, Jacqueline Farquharson (2 extra required)
  • Kimmeridge CP: Phil & Julie Bardswell, John & Sue Widdowson.
  • Hill Bottom CP: Richard & Tracey Lang (2 extra required)
  • Durlston Castle CP: Deirdre Flegg, Mike Childs, Sue Phillips
  • Swanage HQ Admin: Chris Pitt, Martin Callow
  • HQ kitchen & dining: Teresa Brooker (IC), Michael Scanlon (8 extra required)
  • Sweeping: Weymouth to Lulworth: Anne & Ian Brown
  • Sweeping: Lulworth to Swanage HQ: (2 sweepers required - only those walking the marshals' walk can sweep)

Dorset Doddle Marshals' Event (Sunday 29th July 2018)

If you would like to walk this year on Sunday 29th July 2018, please send your name & mobile number to Bill Peach (w.peach@sky.com) Closing Date: Sunday 22nd July 2018.
All walkers on the marshals' walk have to help marshal the main event. There is a limit of 16 seats on the mini bus, if you want a seat book early.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
