The public roads east of Shore Road are:
• the lower part of Haven Road (B3065)
• Brudenell Avenue
• Brudenell Road

All of Shore Road, all of Haven Road, the lower part of Brudenell Avenue (i.e. from Shore Road up to its junction with Brudenell Road) and all of Brudenell Road are subject to “pay and display” parking charges, which apply seven days a week and are very expensive. If you approach from Poole along Shore Road, just after you pass Luscombe Valley nature reserve on your left, you can turn left into Brudenell Avenue (the street sign says “Brudenell Avenue leading to Brudenell Road”). Brudenell Avenue becomes a crescent that goes uphill, bends round and eventually rejoins Brudenell Road.

The lower part of Brudenell Avenue has pay and display parking machines. The “P” parking signs here refer to the P+D machines. Continue uphill (past the junction with Brudenell Road on your right)

Although there are lots of double yellow lines, there is quite a lot of “on street parking” in bays marked with white lines and the “P” parking signs here do not refer to machines. So this part of the road is unrestricted parking. You will be competing with residents, so if you park in the upper part of Brudenell Avenue, allow about 5 minutes to walk back down to Shore Road .

The general advice is still check carefully before parking (park in haste, repent later when you see the ticket.)
