Here is an update.

1. Thanks to everyone who let me know their preferences with regard to shifts on Sunday 26 May. Deirdre and I have now allocated you as per your preferences where expressed. Please can you check the spreadsheet - see link below, which also shows whether you have opted for a meal at HQ in Dover after we finish.

The shifts are three unequal time periods as per the spreadsheet based on likely number of entrants in each, and setting up and closing down requirements.

A few of us including me will be arriving on the Saturday evening to start setting up.

2. I am sorry to tell you, as some already know, that we have been advised by Kent Group that there will probably not be anywhere to sleep overnight in the school. We only have access to a very small part of the school, which will be sealed off from the rest of it. This will be confirmed after Deirdre and I visit on 29 March, but if you need sleeping accommodation on the Saturday night, I would advise you book something elsewhere. There is an option to hire rooms at HQ in Dover, the Duke of York’s Royal Military School - £40.00 per person for three nights as a package, single or twin en-suite study bedrooms, assuming there are any left. If you are interested I can let you have the contact for this. I have booked a B&B in Folkestone although I do not expect to spend much time there - I can let you have details if you want.
