You may be aware that the recent AGM was informed that a sub-committee has been established to look at the level of funds that the group should hold, what it should do with the surplus having regard to the Aims and Objectives of the Group specified in the Group constitution, and over what period of time should that surplus be spent to achieve the target level for group funds. Group members Pete Scriven and Jacqui Farquharson have joined with group treasurer Julie Bardswell and main committee member Robert Powell to consider all this and through the main committee make recommendations to next year’s AGM. We would welcome any ideas that you have for spending surplus group funds, which is likely to amount to several thousand pounds. So please email your ideas to Robert Powell robert6915@btinternet.com no later than 15 January 2017.
