"It wasn't like this when I recced it..."  Sunday 10th January .

Details all as Strider -   a bit over 16 miles - but there is no pub stop (there is a very nice obelisk and hill fort, though) So, bring enough food and drink.

Deirdre and I walked the whole route yesterday.  Unsurprisingly, it was very wet and muddy underfoot in places,  although a lot of the going wasn't too bad. Taking it reasonably slowly (as is usual for us)  we got back to the car at 1630 - just as the light was going. So please also bring a torch,  just in case. We do have a plan to shorten the route, slightly, if the weather is really poor.
