Autumn on the Wiltshire Down Cranborne Chase – 29 October 2023

Please see the message below from Tim and Kathy relating to their forthcoming social walk.

Our next Wessex social walk takes place this coming Sunday but we have had to change the start point and lunch venue. As a number of members from your groups have attended our walks in the past I would be grateful if you would be kind enough to publicise these change as per the e-mail below just in case anybody from your group is planning on coming to this one.

"Following the current weather conditions the Environment Agency and Downton Council have reported a high risk of flooding in the Downton area. We have therefore decided to change the start of our walk on Sunday to the Fritham main Car Park, New Forest (GR233142)

The start time remains at 8.45am and the walk will aim to be around 17 miles or there is scope to make it a bit shorter if required.

There will be a pub stop at The High Corner Inn and a booking has been made for 6 people for 12.15pm if you would like to meet us there. Alternatively please bring sandwiches (we will be stopping for roughly an hour).

Sorry if this changes your plans but we look forward to seeing you there.
