Start & finish at the Rafford Village Hall, W3W ///paper.dozen.blackouts

From VH start, woodland tracks to Dava Way, then around the south & east of Forres before heading along the Moray Coast Trail to Lossiemouth. From here it is inland to Elgin on an old, disused railway line before returning to Rafford VH via forestry tracks, country lanes & Heldon Hill. CPs at Findhorn, Burghead, Lossimouth, Elgin & Miltonduff

General Notes
Parking & camping available on the adjacent playing field. The date & start time will give participants the option to walk on the beach during the coastal sections. Qualifier for the LDWA Jurassic 100, to be held in May 2027 - a more perfect qualifier you could not wish for. Entry via SiEntries only from 1st March 2026

Walk Report

The Laich o’Moray 50 mile event saw 53 participants take to the start line, with an impressive 46 walkers completing the full distance. First across the finish line was Dominic Hughes, who produced an outstanding performance, recording the fastest-ever time for the event of 8 hours and 52 minutes. A fantastic achievement!
