Historic Harbours & an Ancient Castle

Walk Details:
A linear walk from Portsoy to Buckie. The walk takes us along sandy beaches, cliff tops & via six harbours. There's the option of visiting Findlater Castle - however, getting to the castle ruin involves a steep & potentially slippery path with sheer drops. Most of the paths along the route are good with a short narrow rocky section around Logie Head.
Lunch will be in Cullen with a visit to the chip shop or one of the many cafes the town has to offer. There is 991ft of elevation on this walk. The pace will be Moderate

Walk Report
A linear walk from Portsoy to Buckie. Walk leader was Lorna Sproates. 7 members and 4 guests caught a bus from Buckie to Portsoy and we walked back. The weather was very nice. We stpped in Sandend for a coffee and in Cullen we stopped at the fish and chip shop and the ice cream shop. We saw Findlater castle along the way and Bow fiddle rock. Super dayMaps:
