Meet at Elgin bus station at 8.45am to take the bus to Buckie or meet in Cluny Square Buckie W3W afford.niece.issues

The route follows the path taken by fishwives from Buckie to Keith to sell fish. It is on minor roads & tracks & goes via historic crofts & farms. It's a straightforward walk (as long as you aren't carrying a basket of 40lbs of fish!). We plan to take a short detour to see the unusual bridge at Craigmin. We will return to Elgin from Keith by bus

General Notes
This walk relies on public transport. The walk is suitable for dogs, but taking dogs on buses is at the driver's discretion, hence we cannot guarantee those with dogs will be able to catch the bus. Walk Report

The walkers all met at Elgin bus station in glorious sunshine to get to the start of the Fishwives Path. The sun stayed with us all day , with only a slight breeze. After a brief snack stop at Drybridge we detoured to see the Craigmin Bridge and continued to view the Georgian Letterfourie House, retracing our steps to pass through the Greencraig campsite and rejoin the Fishwives Path with stunning views behind us across the Moray Firth to Rosshire and Cromarty. Continuing on through open fields and woodland on good paths and minor roads through Newmill to Keith, with nearly an hour’s wait for the bus. Two of us opted for the much less costly Ember bus, with the others with bus passes took the faster M96 bus back to Elgin.
