Walk Report

This was a very straightforward out and back 20 mile route on minor roads, gravel tracks and the old railway line. The outward section, heading north from Grantown-on-Spey on the Via Regia (Kings Way), is undulating with one minor river crossing (on stepping stones), as you walk through the remote moorland of the Dava Moor. The route then swings west and then south to return to Grantown-in-Spey on the very flat old track bed of the Dava Way. The weather was dry and bright for most of the day with a gentle breeze in the early morning.
