Let the train take the strain.
Sat 27th Sep 2025
Walk Details:
Please note this is a SATURDAY walk due to train times.
An 18(ish) mile walk from Bath to Bristol returning by train (those with bus pass may prefer the X39 from Temple meads) to Bath. We set out on the Cotswold Way to Kelston Round Hill & onto the racecourse then on to North Stoke & Upton Cheney. We then head into Bristol on the River Avon Trail & Community Forest paths then follow more urban paths to Temple Meads Station. Although there are some facilities en route you will need to bring food & drink.
I will be on the train originating in London which arrives in Bath at 08.44. There are eastbound trains that arrive at similar times.
The bus station is next to the train station. Those who want to drive can use one of the three park & ride facilities & meet in front of the station by the taxi rank.
