Pewsey Downsaround 2027

About the event

Tea House Pavilion

Next year's event will take place on Sunday 25th April 2027.

It's a circular walk on footpaths and bridleways with beautiful views across the Vale of Pewsey and Marlborough Downs, that passes many famous sites including Avebury Stone Circle, Silbury Hill and the Wansdyke.

Actual distances are as follows:
  • 35-mile route is 35.4 miles.
  • 26-mile route is 26.6 miles.
  • 17-mile route is 16.9 miles.
  • 10-mile route is 10.6 miles.

Start from the Pewsey Scout Hut (Grid reference SU162601) from 0800hrs.

Participants must have a mug, compass and one of the following maps on them on the day:

  • OS Explorer 157
  • OS Landranger 173 and/or
  • OS mapping on your fully charged smartphone

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
