Little Conval Cafe Loop

Walk Details:
Going SE on minor road & forest tracks to Gownie Woods, then up south ridge of Little Conval & over the other side to Glach-en-ronack pass. East along tracks to cross over B9009 to a quiet minor road leading to Dufftown for a lunch stop. The way marked disused railway line path & Speyside way back to Aberlour

Walk Report
4 members and 1 guest took part in this 15 mile circular walk from Aberlour in good weather conditions. The walk left Aberlour on the minor road to the Gownie Woods and then onto the heather covered hillside to the top of Little Conval (553m). A steep decent to the Glach-en-ronack saddle and then good tracks to the B9009 roadside path to Dufftown where we had our lunch stop in the Coffee Pot Cafe. After lunch it was a walk through the town to the Keith and Dufftown railway station then the disused railway line path back to Aberlour.Other Files
