Traverse of the Lairig Ghru - meet at the Woodland car park at Inverdruie, which is about a mile along the B970 from the roundabout where it meets the main road (A95 coming from Aviemore). Please get there at 7.45am so that we can make a prompt start. The journey to Linn of Dee takes approx.1 hour 50 minutes, so we should be able to start walking just before 10am
General Notes
This is a great, but demanding, walk over what is probably the most spectacular mountain pass in Scotland. The Lairig Ghru reaches a height of more than 2,700 feet at its highest point, where at times the going can be difficult over rock slabs. To book, please contact the leader before September 6 as places on the coach are limited. Dogs are not allowed on the coach but if anyone wishes to take a dog and make their own transport arrangements to and from Linn of Dee, they should contact the leader
