Starting from the Dava Snow Plough Shed on the A940

Heading west from Dava on woodland paths & minor road & then south along moorland tracks to another minor road & the Castle Grant parklands to Grantown-on-Spey for a lunch stop. Simply following the Dava Way north back to the Dava start point. for anyone wishing to do a shorter walk, there is an opportunity to make this an 8.5 mile walk when we cross the Dava Way after 5.5 miles

General Notes
The walk is on good tracks & paths with one easy burn crossing. The last 8 miles along the Dava Way can be used as a stride-out challenge for those wish to test there walking speed endurance. Maximum of 2 dogs, providing owners have pet insurance

Walk Report

4 North of Scotland members and 2 Isle of Wight visiting members joined this 19 mile figure of 8 walk from Dava. Great weather for an adventure on the Dava Moor visiting the many abandoned farms, before walking through the Castle Grant parklands to our lunch stop at McClean's Cafe in Grantown-on-Spey. The Dava Way back to the start.
