Pewsey Downsaround 2026
About the event
This year's event takes place on Sunday 26th April 2026. Online registration for this popular event has opened. It closes on Tuesday 14th April. You can enter at https://www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?event_id=16517
It's a circular walk on footpaths and bridleways with beautiful views across the Vale of Pewsey and Marlborough Downs, that passes many famous sites including Avebury Stone Circle, Silbury Hill and the Wansdyke.
- 35-mile route is 35.4 miles.
- 26-mile route is 26.6 miles.
- 17-mile route is 16.9 miles.
- 10-mile route is 10.6 miles.
Start from the Pewsey Scout Hut (Grid reference SU162601) at 0800hrs.
Participants must have a mug, compass and one of the following maps on them on the day:
- OS Explorer 157
- OS Landranger 173 and/or
- OS mapping on your fully charged smartphone

Parking

There are two car parks in Pewsey: North Street Car Park (SN9 5ES), in Goddard Street, is nearest to PDA HQ; and Hallgate House Car Park (SN9 5AS) is a short walk away in Broomcroft Road. There is also a car park at Pewsey railway station.
Please do not drive to the HQ as there is only very limited on street parking at the HQ. |
