Lambourn High Street c.p. Parking is £2 for over 4 hours. RG17 8XN. Meet in c.p/ Goodies Cafe, High Street
A gently undulating route, mostly on a hard surface. A figure of eight walk with the start, halfway & finish in Lambourn. Pub lunch at 8 miles or bring a packed lunch that you can eat in the pub if you buy a drink. Shops, cafe & toilets in Lambourn. You can choose the 8 mile route or the 16 mile route
General Notes
The walk will include a visit to one of the premier horse racing yards (a different yard to last year) that the Lambourn area is famous for. The visit will be approx 45 minutes. The event is the 2026 Lambourn Open Day. This is an annual event with 80% of proceeds going to Lambourn Valley Housing Trust & the rest to other local causes. The stable visit ticket is priced at £15 per person. For Wiltshire group members this is subsidised by £10 so just £5 each. Please contact Clive Frankham for payment details. The stables visit is not compulsory if you just want to do the walk. Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times
