Hi everyone,
The PDA is less than a month away. Our small team of organisers have been busy, and this is only going to ramp up on the run up to the event. There are likely to be around 200 entrants, and we need to make sure they are looked after, before, during and after the event.
One aspect of the walk that entrants have always enjoyed is the selection of cakes on offer at checkpoints. Please can the bakers amongst our you, please get in touch with Janette (alexthecat48@icloud.com) to offer a cake. You will be asked what type of cake you will be baking, together with a list of ingredients, and allergen information. We don't want entrants to remember the event for all the wrong reasons.
Following the withdrawal of a few of our volunteers, due to family and holiday commitments, we now have positions that need filling. If someone would like to 'sweep' the course from Checkpoint 3 at Avebury, that would be helpful. We're also after one or more individuals to carry out any ad hoc activities that may arise, e.g. taking supplies to a checkpoint, or collecting an entrant who is unable to continue. There may well be additional volunteers required at some of the checkpoints. The more the merrier.
If you can help in anyway, please contact myself or Janette as soon as possible.
Kind regards
Clive
