You are invited to attend the AGM of the Wiltshire Group of the Long Distance Walkers Association, on Sunday 7th December 2025 at the Peppermill Town Hotel and Restaurant, 40 St John’s Street, Devizes, SN10 1BL.
Prior to the AGM there will be a group walk in the morning and a lunch for those who are attending the AGM. We will send a separate email shortly, with more information regarding the lunch and how to book your place for it.
Only primary members of the group can attend the AGM. If you wish to include someone who has primary membership of a different LDWA group, or who is not an LDWA member, this will need to be agreed by the committee, so please let me know well in advance.
Nominations for Officers and Committee Members
Nominations are welcome for any of the officer positions, or to be an ordinary member on the committee. The offices are Chair, Group Secretary, Treasurer and Walks Secretary. Nominations must have a proposer and a seconder and, of course, the agreement of the person nominated.
Please send nominations for officers and ordinary committee members to me at wiltshire.secretary@ldwa.org.uk Nomination to be received by me no later than four weeks before the AGM, which is by Sunday 9th November 2025.
If you would like to know more about what being on the committee involves, or details of any of the offices, please contact any member of the committee. We will be happy to chat to you, so please don't be put off from enquiring.
Motions
Motions for consideration at the AGM must be sent to me at wiltshire.secretary@ldwa.org.uk no later than four weeks before the AGM, which is Sunday 9th November 2025. All motions must have a proposer and a seconder.
I will send out the agenda for the AGM after Sunday 9th November 2025, including details of the nominations and motions received.
