It's that time of year again where I formally invite the group's membership to our forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

I've decided to step down as the group's Secretary, after my second 3-year term in the last 7 years. We therefore have a vacancy on the committee. If you wish to nominate yourself or someone else (with their agreement), please contact me,

With the wet, windy, and cooler weather we start to think of wintery activities. And one that is always in the calendar and always on the same date is Christmas, with the LDWA Christmas walk & lunch always the one that starts the December roundabout. A wonderful way to start December. This year the LDWA Wiltshire Lunch will be held Egypt Mill Hotel & Restaurant, Nailsworth. We have a private room booked and a lovely looking menu. Details of the menu, location, and what action you need to do if you want to join are detailed below.Two things you need to bear in mind are:

• The key dates for ensuring you are on the invite list.
• You need to have paid and selected your menu options beforehand if you want to join.

Reminders will be sent at the end of October and a week before the cut-off date.

Subsidy details:

The meal is subsided thanks to the hard work of those who volunteered and baked for the PDA, and we would be very grateful if people could help on the day or bake for next year’s event on Sunday 27th April 2025. Subsidy details are as follows:

• £15 for the three courses
• £10 for the two courses
