Frequently Asked Questions
Baggage - Please ensure that any baggage to be taken the the breakfast stop at Felbridge weighs under 6kg and otherwise complies with paragraph 10 of the Rules.
Camping - There will be no land under the control of the event for camping. If you will be arriving on Saturday morning in a oversize vehicle please allow marshals to direct you to a space which will be closer to other vehicles than that recommended for safe sleeping. The organisers do not have any inside information on campsites that would amount to a recommendation.
Maps - There will not be an event map to buy. Please see maps. Because of the shape of the route it will take more than 2 personalised OSMaps to get all of the route in.
Parking - There is a management plan to best use the limited parking avaiable. Please follow the directions that will be advised with your joining instructions. Those dropping off or marshals departing for duties elsewhere on Saurday morning are asked to use on-steet parking nearby so that those spaces aren't in use long term to the annoyance of local residents.
Showers - There will be changing rooms and showers at the main event HQ. We have not been able to secure showers at the breakfast stop but there will be separate changing rooms. The Marshals' walk HQ does not have showers.
Special Diets - Anyone who needs special food taking to checkpoints should label packets with their name and checkpoint number and ask at registration where to hand it in.
Travel by train - A mini-bus shuttle will run from Meopham station to HQ trom 7:30am Saturday. If your train is delayed beyond 12:30 please call the control desk on 03300 430042. Subject to the minibuses not being engaged elesewhere, walkers may be dropped back at the station. The station is 20-25 minutes walk from the station.
