Some notable committee members

Chief Organiser - Julie Cribb (chief cat herder)

Hello, I’m Julie.  I’ve been herding cats (managing projects) for the best part of 30 years and am now privileged to be working with a great team of people to put on LDWA’s furthest north 100.  I’m looking forward to welcoming volunteers, participants, families and friends to this amazing location and supporting as many people as possible to a successful completion.

Route - John Henderson (thankful for good weather @ St Kilda)

I am responsible for creating the Speyside 100 route and finding suitable checkpoint venues and locations.  My 1st 100 was in Dartmoor 1979 (dnf), and my last of 4 was in Snowdonia 1987 (24hrs 19 mins). As a hillwalker, I have completed all the Munros, Corbetts, Grahams, Donalds, Furths and 1150 Marilyns.  I am from Belfast, N Ireland but have lived in Scotland since 1991.

Checkpoints - Graham Smith (always look on the bright side of life)

I'm a man of Kent who moved to the north of Scotland for a quieter life.  Then Julie Cribb collared me and now I'm Chair of North of Scotland LDWA and looking after checkpoint liaison and the marshals' walk on the Speyside 100.  Email : n.scot.ldwa.gmail.com.

Catering – Naomi & Hannah Cribb (helping you keep going)

Hello.  We’re the Cribb Catering Duo and have been feeding Challenge Event participants and Local Group Officers at LDWA events, as well as thousands of tourists who descend on Loch Ness and the Inverness area for many years.  We’re looking forward to catering for your nutritional needs throughout the weekend and there may even be some local delicacies to tempt the tastebuds too.  They say an army marches on its stomach – so we’re here to help you achieve your marching goal too.
