Good Morning all from Anderton.

Breakfast bags ready to go

 

51 participants have now started off from Anderton. Norman Thomas sent them on their way with a motivational speech.

1pm. All walkers have passed through checkpoint 1 at Slipper Lowe.

3.15 pm. All walkers have passed through checkpoint 2 at Feniscliffe

7.35pm  1 retiree at Whalley, 50 participants through and continuing on.

9.37pm  4 retire at Barley, 46 have gone to see if there really is a witch on Pendle Hill.

2.29am  46 avoided the witch and made it safely through Downham.

5.12am 46 carrying on from Bolton by Bowland and going very near the border with the losing side in the War of the Roses.

7.47am 2 people retire at Tosside, 44 going on to breakfast.

10.57am 4 people finish at the breakfast stop in Newton, 40 carrying on.

4.49 pm  1 retiree at Dunsop Bridge, 39 still going.

5.52 pm 1 retiree at Chipping, 38 walking onwards, the first one already back at Anderton.

9.15 pm 2 retirees at Hurst Green, 36 can still complete, four have already done so.

2.00 am 2 retirees at Mellor Brook, 34 can still complete, a further 17 are safely back.

 

 

 

 

News Flash: First person home in a time of 28:57 was Dave Findel-Hawkins. He was more excited about the Dons being promoted than finishing!

Two more finishers. John Cowburn completed his 20th Hundred in 32:21 and Malcolm Hunt completed his 10th Hundred in 32:21. Well done to both of them.

Ken Falconer has successfully completed the event in 33 hours 58 minutes.

Stephanie le Men successsfully completed the event in 35 hours 41 minutes along with Roderick Hollands on the same time.

Madeleine Watson successfully completed the event in 36 hours 7 minutes.

Richard and Sandra Brown successfully completed the event in 36 hours 24 minutes.

Kath Page, Chris Hopkins and Steve Clark have all successfully completed the event in 37 hours 49 minutes.

Mark Hawker successfully completed the event in 38 hours 26 minutes.

Bill Pritchard and Robert Lowe successfully completed the event in 38 hours 52 minutes.

Michelle Armour and Michael Fletcher successfully completed the event in 39 hours and 3 minutes.

Mick Abbott successfully completed the event in 39 hours and 16 minutes.

Neil Smith successfully completed the event in 39 hours and 25 minutes.

Graham Smith successfully completed the event in 39 hours and 27 minutes.

Cyril Williams successfully completed the event in 39 hours and 28 minutes.

Julia Greenwood and Ralph Warman successfully completed the event in 40 hours 9 minutes.

Brenda Walker and Peter Bruniges successfully completed the event in 40 hours 48 minutes.

Luke Bradley successfully completed the event in 41 hours 58 minutes

Tony and Angela Walton successfully completed the event in 45 hours 16 minutes

Stephen Blackshaw successfully completed the event in 46 hours 6 minutes

Jean Bowers and Thomas Wood successfully completed the event in 46 hours 34 minutes

Peter Schick successfully completed the event in 46 hours 39 minutes

Last man in, Adrian Gosling who successfully completed the event in 47 hours 13 minutes.

 

Thank you to all who came to see us. We are sorry that the witch on Pendle was in a bad mood and she gave you a really hard time.
