General Notes
Aim is to meet up Friday evening with the possibility of a headtorch walk to Loch Morlich; two walks of differing duration & elevation on offer Saturday before departure Sunday morning. Delighted for people to join in for entire weekend or for the day on Saturday. Rothiemurchus has reserved the entire ground floor of their Union Jack lodge which has 32 beds, 8 x 4 berth rooms. The cost is £30/night with an additional £10 for bedding pack. Am delighted to say that there has been a high level of interest in this weekend. Currently there are ensuite rooms in Nuffield Lodge available for those who prefer more privacy. £35 /night (£50 for single occupancy). Whilst I doubt we will exceed 32 I can reserve more if required, unless we leave it too late that is. Self catering facilities but also close to all that Glenmore and Aviemore offer in pubs, cafes & restaurants. A deposit of 25% cost accommodation is required by Rothiemurchus. We have access from 15:00 on Friday, 6th to 11:00 Sunday, 8th March.
