Start at Blandford Stour Meadows c.p. Currently Free

Via Blandford Royal Signals Camp to the church at Tarrant Monkton, during the coffee stop look out for the grave markers of four 1st World War German POWs. Then to the former Tarrant Rushton airfield, where airborne forces took off from to capture Pegasus Bridge on D-Day, & lunch stop at Tarrant Keynston. Next to St Mary's church Tarrant Crawford with its "ghostly" 14th Century paintings & burial site of Joan of Scotland, sister of Henry III. Next is the small ancient hill fort of Spetisbury Rings before heading back to Blandford. This is a re-run of the walk from June 2024 (and slightly longer than the slightly "mutinous" walk from the 2024 Summer Social !

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations.
