Sherborne - Meet at Culverhayes Long stay c.p opposite Sainsbury's
Repeat of a circular walk done in 'Covid times' in North Dorset from Sherborne going South-East & taking in Bishop's Caundle, Stourton Caundle & Purse Caundle. Includes a visit to the oldest still in operation post box in the country & if you are good there will be time to purchase an ice-cream at Ecco Gelato in Sherborne on the return
General Notes
NOTE If you park in one of the Dorset Council c.p it is no longer free on Sunday. Charges in some c.p are by the hour except at Culverhayes which has an all-day charge. Payment by cash, phone, online/app: Culverhayes LONG stay DT9 3ED , but be careful to park in the LONG stay area closer to Sainsbury's, as the Short-stay area IS pay by the hour. Acreman Street DT9 3NX Cold Harbour DT9 4HA. There is a public toilet in the c.p which is USUALLY open by 09.00 !
LDWA membership card has a space on it for adding emergency contact details, all members are encouraged to carry this during the walk
