Route
The walk starts from the NT c.p at Carding Mill Valley (SY6 6JG). Park wherever possible just below the NT centre (tea rooms), but not the upper c.p area. Toilets here & opening time subject to NT circumstances (09:00 till 16:00).Note to take full benefit of the environment & enjoy a full day’s walk experience it’s not envisaged this walk will finish before 18:00 (6:00pm). 20 strenuous miles (approx. 4,000ft ascent) in the beautiful area of the Long Mynd exploring in full the eastern area. Ascending to Pole Bank, then southwards along the ridge, beyond the glider club. We will then descend & ascend the various ridges & valleys of Minton (coffee break approx 11am), Callow Hollow, back to Little Stretton, Ashes Hollow & Townbrook Valley until we return to Carding Mill Valley. Lunch stop will be Oakleymill Waterfall (1.30pm approx). No toilets or facilities en route, so please bring sufficient supplies

General Notes
C.p at Carding Mill is £6 all day (please bring change), but free for NT members (scan card). Alternative c.p in Church Stretton, Easthope Street, SY6 6BL (approx 0.88m from start of the walk - £4 max per day). If parking here, be mindful of start time. Residents parking permit scheme in force in Church Stretton, so on street parking is discouraged. No need to notify walk leader, just turn up on the day for this walk. Register will be taken at the start, so please have your membership number available if possible.
