The "New" LDWA Forest Marathon- Autumn took take place on 26th September 2026.

The LDWA Heart of England Local group are worked with the Heart of England Forest to put on an event that explored the forest in early autumn. Along the way entrants had views of areas that are newly planted seedlings, saplings, maturing, mature and ancient woodland. There were views of the Warwickshire countryside and beyond.

The route descriptions and GPX files are for the event on the 26th September 2026 supplied for the event included "on the day permission only" Please do not use them after the event. I have included GPX files for routes that makes use of public rights of way and ongoing permissive paths that stick as closely to the route without trespassing and avoids too long stretches on busy roads. Please do not use the parts of the route that had on the day permissions only.

Surplus funds from the event will be donated once accounts have been finalised.

Plan is to run the "Spring" version in 2028 trying to coincide with the best of the spring in the woods.
