Start at Maxton Parish Church, TD6 0RN, NT611303
Crossing Tweed at Mertoun Bridge & following Tweed on Borders Abbey Way to Temple of the Muses , crossing the suspension bridge to Newton St Boswells. A loop over the Eildons before returning to the St Cuthbert's Way , the Crystal Well & back to Maxton.
In the event of river Tweed being high we may stay on St Cuthbert's Way directly from Maxton to Newton St Boswells
General Notes
There is a cafe/bakery in Newton St Boswells where snacks may be available but best to come with a packed lunch. There is an option to shorten the distance by continuing on St Cuthbert's Way from Maxton directly to Newton St Boswells if required.
