Navigation is not challenging.

A circular route exploring Birmingham's extensive canal network, which includes Cole Valley Way, the longer routes travel under Spaghetti Junction and head round the Soho Loop. The route then heads back to the city centre and then out past Birmingham University in Edgbaston and Cadburys in Bournville, then heading back to the rugbhy club via Kings Norton Guillotine Lock.

Vast majority of the routes are on paths along the River Cole or canal tow paths. On the Canal canter and mini canter there is a total 0.3 miles, in 2 sections, along the roads. The Canal marathon has an additional 0.4 miles on the streets.

There will be drinks and snacks around the course at 5 chack points (2 on the mini canter).

There will be a 2 course meal at the finish.
