Meet on the towpath by the footbridge across the canal at Gas Street Basin, Birmingham B1 2JT. This is where the Worcester & Birmingham Canal meets the Birmingham Old Line
The two loops omitted from the shorter version of the Birmingham Canal Canter - the Soho Loop (3.75 miles), & the 8.75 miles loop down to Spaghetti Junction and the city centre. Both loops will be done in the reverse direction to the BCC
General Notes
Canal towpath walk = flat, hard surface. However, there are 24 downhill locks to Spaghetti Junction, & 24 uphill locks back to Gas Street. There are no facilities en route, other than when passing through the city centre between the two loops
