General Notes

LW2 takes us from Grangemill to Bonsall, with paths on the west bank above Matlock Bath visiting Gullivers Kingdom, Heights of Abraham and down into Matlock town for lunch. Onward on route to Youlgreave via lesser-known villages of Winster, Elton and Birchover adjacent to route. Although we will be in the White Peak there are gritstone outcrops along this section, including Robin Hood's Stride, Cratcliffe Tor and Hermit's Cave. Youlgreave to finish was near the start of 'Limestone' last year

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
