A circular route around the N-W area of the county of Leics including Charnwood Forest

General Notes
The castle at Ashby and the surrounding countryside were used for the setting for the novel of the same name. Ivanhoe, the novel by Sir Walter Scott, was written in 1819 and set in C12th England. The route joins with the Leicestershire Round at Bagwith/Shakerstone. The walk will be completed with a moving average >3mph - Target time 11-12hrs
