Open to Offas 2025

Results

There were 240 registrations (including 6 on the day) and 197 starters (86 on the 32 mile route, 59 on the 24 mile and 52 on the 16 mile). Two people retired during the event and a few opted for the cut-off at checkpoint 3.

Next year's event is due to be held on Saturday 8th August 2026 - entries open December 2025.

Merseystride's annual challenge event in the Clwydian Hills on the Flintshire/Denbighshire border took place on Saturday 9th August. We will be offering three routes open to both runners and walkers. All routes start from Cilcain Village Hall.

The 32 mile (50 km) route starts at 8am, the 24 mile at 8:30am and the 16 mile at 9:30am.

Entries online via SI entries cost £12 for LDWA members (£10 before 01/06/25) and £18 for non-members (£15 before 01/06/25). Entries close Tuesday 5th August 2025.

Cost includes car parking, refreshments during the day and a certificate. Please bring a mug for drinks at checkpoints.

All routes start from Cilcain and head into the Clwydian Hills using the Offa's Dyke LDP. On the 32 mile route there is a cut-off time of 1:30pm at checkpoint 3 - anyone arriving after that time will need to follow the 156 mile route back to Cilcain.
