Heart of Scotland

About the Group:

The Heart of Scotland Group of the Long Distance Walkers Association arranges walks roughly in the area of Perth & Kinross, Fife, Angus, Tayside and Stirling.

For our current programme of walks click on 'Future Events' above.  LDWA members and friends, whether from the area or not, are warmly invited to come on the walks. Please be aware that walks are around 15-20 miles at a reasonable pace and last 6-9 hours. It is a good idea to make contact with the leader beforehand to confirm details. The walks programme is also listed in Strider, the journal of the Long Distance Walkers Association, as well as on the main LDWA website. Any member of the LDWA can walk with the group and can if they wish elect to have Heart of Scotland as the group of their choice. Prospective members of the LDWA in the area are welcome to join the social walks for a trial period, but should join the national LDWA if they continue to come.

Offers to lead walks are very welcome, indeed we need a pool of walk leaders, so if you would like to lead a walk, or perhaps have a favourite walk that you would like to share, do please get in touch - contact Ken Falconer, E: strider@falconers.me.uk; T: 01334 478507

If you have news items, photos, or any other topical material that would be of interest to others and might go on this website please send it to Ken, E: strider@falconers.me.uk
